Ron Port is succeeding John O’Bryan as CEO of Stucki, a Moon Township, Pa.-based supplier of engineered products, reconditioning and repair services, locomotive fueling and support, and maintenance of way services. Stucki operates more than 12 companies, with 23 operating centers in the United States, Mexico and Brazil. O’Bryan had led the company since 2021.

Port was most recently President of the Aerospace, Defense and Marine business unit at TE Connectivity, a global manufacturer of connectivity and sensor products for transportation, industrial, and communications applications. He managed more than 7,000 employees and 19 global manufacturing facilities. He has also served as Chief Commercial Officer at Kennametal and President of the company’s Infrastructure Business Group, with global responsibility for the advanced materials, earth cutting tools, engineered components, and ceramics business. Prior to Kennametal, Port led Marketing and Business Development for SPX Corp and held leadership positions at Xylem Inc. and ITT Corporation. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.

“Ron brings more than 20 years of experience in successfully scaling, optimizing, and guiding specialized engineered products and services companies,” said Olivia Zhao, Principal at Stellex Capital Management, which led a group of investors to acquire Stucki in 2022. “We believe he has a track record of driving innovation, fostering a collaborative work environment, and leading teams to success. We are confident that Ron’s leadership will inspire us and usher in a period of growth, creativity, and shared achievements for our employees and customers.”

“We have extended our heartfelt gratitude to John O’Bryan for his remarkable contribution and dedication to Stucki,” said Michael Livanos, Managing Director at Stellex. “Under John’s leadership, Stucki achieved numerous milestones and laid a solid foundation for future potential growth. We wish John all the best in his future endeavors.”

“This is an exciting era of growth and innovation at Stucki, and I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the company at such a pivotal time,” Port said. “The company has a rich history and legacy and a strong foundation for additional success. I am looking forward to learning more in the upcoming weeks about our customers, our culture, our people and our strengths as we explore opportunities to excel together.”

In a related development, Stucki recently named (Koray) Mert Yilmaz as President of Engineered Products for railroad rolling stock, serving the leasing, manufacturing, railroad, and shipper markets.

Anika Sanders Cooper has been tapped as STB General Counsel. She was previously Deputy General Counsel, but served since January as Acting General Counsel, following Craig M. Keats’ retirement. The Office of the General Counsel provides legal advice to the Board; defends Board actions in court (usually in the U.S. Courts of Appeals); and manages the agency’s ethics, FOIA and records managements functions.

Cooper joined the STB in 2006 as an attorney in the Office of the General Counsel. She has held several leadership roles at the federal agency and was named Deputy General Counsel in 2017. Before joining the STB, Cooper worked at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia in civil antitrust enforcement (2003-06), and practiced antitrust law as an associate at the law firm of Arnold & Porter in Washington, D.C. (1997-2003). Cooper earned a law degree from Yale Law School, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampton University.

“Anika has been a valued member of the STB team for nearly 20 years,” said Robert E. Primus, who became STB Chairman earlier this year after Martin J. Oberman stepped down. “The agency has greatly appreciated her consistent work to advance and uphold our mission, and we will continue to rely on her skill and insight in serving the public interest.  I look forward to working with Anika in this new capacity.”
