TTX Announces Executive Retirements and Concurrent Appointments of CFO, CHRO
Dudley will be succeeded by TTX Assistant Vice President Financial Planning and Analytics Jon Perez; and Powers will be succeeded by TTX Assistant Vice President Human Resources Scott Howland. Perez brings two decades of corporate finance experience, including 12 years of service with TTX; and Howland brings three decades of human resources experience, including more than 14 years of service with TTX.
Dudley served as Vice President, CFO, and Treasurer for TTX Company for 12 years. Under her leadership and guidance, TTX expanded and modernized its fleet with investments of almost $8 billion in new equipment and $700 million in capital improvements, according to the railcar pooling company. She facilitated these investments with almost $6 billion in new financing, while overseeing “the strong financial performance of TTX’s fleet of high-quality, low-cost railcars and railcar maintenance operations.”
Powers completed more than 26 years of company service, which included his role as Vice President, CHRO for more than 17 years. In addition to his early work in managing the company’s labor relations, which included the successful negotiation of several labor agreements, he has been “instrumental in shaping TTX’s human resources function, fostering a positive organizational culture and making TTX an employer of choice,” according to the company.
“Both Vicki and Brian have been invaluable members of our executive team, guiding us through significant growth and transformation,” said TTX President and CEO Tom Wells. “Their strategic vision and dedication have left an indelible mark on TTX, and we are profoundly grateful for their years of service and wish them both the very best in their retirements. Perez has two decades of corporate finance experience in the transportation industry. He began his TTX career in 2013 leading the company’s Treasury department with responsibility for capital markets, cash management, and rating agency relationships. In 2019, Perez assumed the role of Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis responsible for the development of TTX’s annual financial plan and quarterly forecasts, capital planning and allocation, and financial metric achievement. He has also held leadership roles in the company’s Enterprise Risk Management, Controllership, Tax, and Car Accounting departments. Perez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Miami University and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago.
Howland has been specializing in human resources for more than 30 years in various leadership and consulting roles. As Assistant Vice President of Human Resources for TTX Company, he is responsible for the strategy and direction of all aspects of human resources. Earlier in his career, he focused on the products of human resources, including compensation, benefits and HRIS in his roles of increasing responsibility. Howland holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master of Business Administration.
