Cameron Connect and Champlain Cable recently announced a distribution partnership to service the North American rail transit market. Cameron Connect is now a partner distributor stocking Champlain Cable’s EXRAD-Rail™ line of wire and cable products for the rail market.
Cameron Connect, founded in 2010, is a supplier of wire, cable and accessories for the renewable, steel and transit markets. With years of experience in the electrical industry, Cameron Connect says it is “committed to customer satisfaction by providing in-house engineering, customized solutions, quality products and on-time deliveries.”
Champlain Cable Corporation is a manufacturer of irradiation cross-linked wire and cable for harsh environments in the rail, automotive, commercial vehicle, UL/CSA, military shipboard and specialty data communication markets. Champlain is headquartered in Colchester, Vt., and operates five manufacturing facilities: Colchester, Vt., two in El Paso, Texas, and two in the greater Houston, Texas, area.
“This partnership provides OEMs and sub-suppliers with quick-turn access to Champlain’s rail transit approved wire and cable products for use on rail cars and locomotives,” noted Richard Trahan, VP of Business Development at Champlain Cable.

ThermOmegaTech on July 15 announced the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Bucks County, Penn. The expansion adds 23,000 square feet to the existing 37,000 square feet and incorporates new manufacturing, R&D, and office space for the company’s growing divisions, resulting in 60,000 square feet total.
The new space, according to the company, includes specialized areas for aerospace and defense engineering and manufacturing equipment and sections for prototyping, testing, and quality inspection. It also features new conference rooms and collaboration areas.
“We are expanding to better serve our customers by improving workflows. From start to finish, the customer will have their needs fulfilled from design to assembly,” said ThermOmegaTech Vice President of Engineering Brian Curry. “We are also bringing prosperity and jobs to Ivyland and Bucks County, Pennsylvania.”
