STV on Feb. 12 reported opening a new 9,844 square-foot office in Jacksonville, Fla., which will support infrastructure projects across the state. This is the sixth Florida location for the professional services firm, which has more than 60 offices in North America.

“This new office is a hub where our talented team can collaborate with our local clients and partners to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our communities,” said Keith Jackson, Vice President and Florida Area Manager at STV. “It reflects our continued commitment to supporting the Northeast Florida region and investing in its future.”

The new office opening is said to bolster STV’s nearly 50-year history of advancing Florida infrastructure projects, which include the SunRail Phase 2 Northern ExpansionNocatee Parkway and Okeechobee Road/Miami Canal Bridge. The firm supports state and local agencies such as the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida’s Turnpike and the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.

In the past year, STV has acquired Florida-based MEHTA Engineering and opened and expanded several of its North American offices, including in New York CityDallas and Charlotte. According to the firm, these new spaces support STV’s “Strategic Plan priorities to reimagine its operations and invest in a world-class employee experience.” They are also said to “embrace an Activity-Based Working (ABW) concept, featuring a variety of flexible workspaces tailored to different tasks,” and to be equipped with “cutting-edge technology” and abundant natural light.

Separately, STV earlier this month elevated Chris Hertz to Head of National Systems Practice and Benjamin Crawford to Vice President. Additionally, the firm was also tapped for a five-year task order contract by the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration to provide a range of consulting services related to rolling stock, including passenger rail vehicles.
