Trinity Metro
Trinity Metro on Oct. 23 announced the appointment of Anette Landeros as its CSO, effective December 2024. This newly created position, the agency says, “reflects Trinity Metro’s commitment to taking its innovation and strategic planning to the next level as it continues to expand services and enhance connectivity across the region.”
Landeros brings a wealth of expertise to the role. As President and CEO of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, she led the organization to new heights of success. Before her tenure at the Chamber, Landeros spent 12 years with the U.S. Department of Transportation in the Office of the Inspector General. Her extensive background in both community leadership and transportation makes her the ideal person to help guide Trinity Metro’s ambitious growth plans, the agency noted.
“As we continue to set new records with TEXRail and Trinity Railway Express ridership and see rapid growth in the popularity of the Orange Line, this is the perfect time to bring Anette on board,” said Trinity Metro President and CEO Rich Andreski. “Anette has an incredible understanding of the Fort Worth community and transportation. Her leadership will be instrumental in shaping our strategic initiatives and driving forward-thinking solutions for the future.”
Landeros joins Trinity Metro at a time of “unprecedented momentum,” according to the agency, whose services, including TEXRail, Trinity Railway Express, and the Orange Line, “are breaking ridership expectations, and new initiatives are under way to expand the network further.” As CSO, Landeros will oversee the development of strategies that support both immediate goals and long-term growth.
“I am honored to step into this role at such an exciting time for Trinity Metro,” Landeros said. “Transportation is the backbone of opportunity, and Trinity Metro is leading the way in creating a connected, vibrant future for our region. I look forward to helping the agency reach new milestones and ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional services that benefit our entire community.”
“Trinity Metro has built a culture of integrity and excellence under Rich Andreski’s leadership. Anette is a fantastic addition to the very capable Trinity Metro leadership team and will bring her unique perspective and talents to expand public transportation throughout Tarrant County,” said Trinity Metro Chairman of the Board Jeff Davis.
As Trinity Metro looks ahead to an exciting future, the creation of the CSO role “underscores the agency’s focus on innovation, strategic partnerships, and community impact. With Landeros at the helm of strategy, Trinity Metro is well-positioned to continue its upward trajectory, building on current successes and laying the groundwork for transformative new initiatives,” the agency said.
NRLC
NRLC on Oct. 29 announced the appointment of Jeffrey F. Rodgers as Chairman, effective Nov. 1. Rodgers has served as Vice Chairman of the NRLC since 2009, helping lead the industry through the last three rounds of national collective bargaining.
Rodgers will become the eighth chairman of the NRLC, succeeding Brendan M. Branon, who has served as chairman since 2019. Before joining the freight rail industry, Rodgers held leadership positions in the airline industry and as an officer in the United States Air Force.
“I am honored to accept the role of NRLC Chairman and look forward to serving the freight rail industry,” said Rodgers. “I am encouraged by the early progress several carriers and unions have made to reach prompt local collective bargaining agreements that address employees’ priority issues on mutually agreeable terms. I look forward to building on that progress as national bargaining begins next month.”
“The industry looks forward to Jeff’s seasoned leadership in the upcoming national bargaining round,” said CSX President and CEO Joe Hinrichs, on behalf of the NRLC Executive Board. “We also extend our appreciation to Brendan for his contributions to the NRLC and his work to set our industry and our people up for success. He has been a staunch representative and advocate for America’s freight railroads, and we wish him the best in his next endeavor.”
