Ayanna Smith has been promoted to TNW’s Director of Finance, overseeing corporate financial operations and controls, including accounting functions, reporting, strategy, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Previously, she served as Controller at the Dallas, Tex.-based company that operates three short lines with multiple transload facilities.
With more than 15 years of experience in accounting, Smith has also held positions at Waste Control Specialists, LLC, as a Senior Accountant and Revenue Analyst. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree accountancy from Texas State University in San Marcos, Tex.
“Ayanna’s demonstrated commitment to excellence, financial acumen, and understanding of our business make her an important part of TNW’s leadership team,” TNW CEO Paul Treangen said. “I am delighted to see her move into this critical position.”

Earlier this year, TNW promoted Jacob Noe to Director of Safety.
Balfour Beatty
Annette Ebright is the new Vice President of Compliance for Balfour Beatty, a Dallas, Tex.-based general contracting, at-risk construction management, and design-build services firm that performs heavy civil, rail, and a broad variety of vertical construction for public- and private-sector clients across the United States. She oversees the implementation of legal, regulatory, and operational compliance, and manages risk assessments for Balfour Beatty’s Buildings and Civils businesses. Ebright also works in coordination with senior leadership, including legal and internal audit functions, across Balfour Beatty’s global business, with specific emphasis on the company’s various U.S. geographies, to implement and improve the company-wide ethics and compliance program, according to Balfour Beatty, which added that Ebright will lead efforts that reinforce its “people-first culture and values,” as well as efforts that “promote and normalize the company’s ‘speak up’ behaviors among teammates nationally.” She is based out of the firm’s Charlotte, N.C. office.
Ebright previously led compliance positions at XPO Logistics and RXO. She also was an attorney for Equitable Advisors, LLC, and a partner at a Charlotte law firm focused on litigation and compliance. She earned a bachelor’s degree and a graduate level education certification from The Ohio State University and a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

STV
Brady Babbitt has been promoted to Vice President at STV, a professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America. Formerly a Project Controls Manager, he will now lead project controls in Texas and the surrounding region, while also supporting a wide array of program and construction management projects across the United States.
Babbitt is currently heading project controls efforts for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Light Rail System Modernization Program in Texas. Since joining STV in 2018, he has provided project controls support to several major programs, including Delta Air Lines Terminal C at LaGuardia Airport, One Brooklyn Health System, NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital, JFK Redevelopment Program, and United Airlines’ Terminal B redevelopment at Houston Airport. He also collaborated with the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority to assess existing project controls processes and develop a roadmap to increase their project controls maturity.
Babbitt is a member of the Construction Management Association of America in concert with the Advancement of Cost Engineering International, Project Management Institute and the American Society for Engineering Management. He holds professional credentials/certifications in scheduling (PMI-SP) and construction management (CCM), and earned a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Colorado State University and Master of Science in engineering management from Drexel University.
