A. Stucki Company names Stacy Waltz as Chief Human Resources Officer. Also, Watco Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Business Officer Rachael Peterson is recognized with the Kaye Lynne Webb Influential Award; and Diane Prauner joins Union Pacific’s (UP) Investor Relations Team as Assistant Vice President (AVP) and Brad Stock moves back to the Class I’s Accounting Team as AVP.

A. Stucki Company on Dec. 12 announced the appointment of Stacy Waltz as Chief Human Resources Officer. She will report directly to President and CEO Ron Port and be responsible for “developing and executing human resource strategy, including workforce optimization, diversity and inclusion, succession planning and labor practices and policies.”

“Stacy is an accomplished and results-driven leader with experience in transforming organizations, driving cultural excellence and aligning HR strategies with business goals,” said Port. “Her track record of navigating complex business transformations, fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces and building high-performing teams will help build a future-ready workforce to support our growth and long-term vision.”

Waltz was most recently Global Vice President of Human Resources for Aerospace, Defense, and Marine at TE Connectivity, where she led HR initiatives across a global scale.

Prior to that she was Global Talent Effectiveness Director for Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee, Wis., and served as a Human Resource Business Partner for Kohl’s Corporation, also in Milwaukee.

Waltz graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She and her husband, Matthew, live in Milwaukee.

Watco

Watco EVP and Chief Business Officer Rachael Peterson was recently recognized with the Kayle Lynne Webb Influential Woman in Business Award at the “She Means Business” Women’s Conference in Pittsburg, Kans.

In 2021, Peterson was named as one of Railway Age’s “20 Under 40” honorees and served on a panel, alongside other human resources and recruitment executives, at the 2023 Railway Age / RT&S Women in Rail event. The panel discussed changes in freight and passenger rail recruitment, retention, and career development from their perspectives, as well as inclusion and career growth opportunities in the railroad industry.

UP

UP recently announced that Diana Prauner has been named AVP – Investor Relations.

Prauner joined UP in June 2003 as part of the Corporate Audit Staff. She’s worked in many finance positions throughout her 21-plus year career, including many parts of accounting operations, as well as financial reporting. She moved to UP’s wholly-owned subsidiary UPDS (now Loup Logistics) as the controller in 2016 and led that team until January 2020 when she was promoted to General Director – Revenue Accounting. Prauner was named AVP – Accounting on July 1, 2022.

After serving as UP’s AVP- Investor Relations for the last five years, guiding the Class I through two investor days (one in person and one virtual) and a CEO change, Brad Stock is moving back to the accounting team as AVP – Accounting.  Prior to the IR role, Stock served as a General Director in both the Payroll Operations and Revenue Accounting groups.

These moves are effective January 1, 2025, with the intent of January being a month of transition between the two.
