ENSCO, Inc., has hired Gregory Holtman as Training Coordinator for the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) Transportation Technology Center (TTC) in Pueblo, Colo.

With more than 15 years of rail operations, safety, and technical training experience, he will lead the coordination and development of training programs for a diverse range of learners, including high school students, college interns, transportation professionals, and TTC personnel. His responsibilities will include classroom scheduling, training support, and the creation of new curricula that ENSCO said will be “aligned with industry best practices and federal regulations.” One of Holtman’s first undertakings will be leading TTC’s inaugural Railcamp this summer, which will introduce high school students to railroading career pathways.

A third-generation railroader, Holtman has led training initiatives for Union Pacific, Denver Transit Operators, and the Denver Regional Transportation District. His credentials include expertise in safety compliance, rulebook development, and FRA-certification support.

“Greg’s proven leadership in rail training will help position TTC as the gold standard in transportation workforce development,” said Jackie van der Westhuizen, Vice President of the Surface Transportation Group at ENSCO, which operates TTC. “His hiring marks an important step not only in advancing ENSCO’s operations at TTC but also in supporting the future of transportation globally.”

“This position offers a unique opportunity to blend my entire skillset into a single mission—creating world-class training,” Holtman said. “With the unparalleled resources of TTC, we have the potential to build something truly exceptional for both the industry and the Pueblo community.”
