The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) on March 13 has ratified a new agreement with the Indiana Rail Road (INRD), a privately held Class II regional railroad headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., that operates across 500 miles of track.
The agreement provides retroactive pay dating to July 1, 2024, and subsequent general wage increases each year through July 1, 2029. It also includes a $1,000 retention pay bonus. The new deal provides improvements to existing provisions for paid holidays, personal protective equipment, and certification and training. A new provision provides paid parental leave for the first time, and also additional paid personal leave days for new hires.
Members governed by this agreement belong to BLET Division 204 (Linton, Ind.), and the CSXT-Western Railroad Lines General Committee of Adjustment. The negotiating team consisted of CSXT-WL General Chairman Keith Kerley, retired Vice President Alan Holdcraft, Vice President Randy Fannon, and Division 204 Local Chairman Kevin Jerrell.
