voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak Partners with Sonneville AG

Sonneville LVT System Production/Nortrak Facility

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak LLC has partnered with Müntschemier, Switzerland-based Sonneville AG. This partnership “aims to commercialize Sonneville’s patented Low-Vibration Track (LVT) System in the U.S. and Canada,” voestalpine said.

“This collaboration leverages Nortrak’s capacity and manufacturing expertise for concrete ties and market reach,” the company said. “It introduces Sonneville’s LVT System to a broader audience. Additionally, the partnership is designed to increase the availability of the product so it can reach key markets.”

For more than four decades, Sonneville’s LVT Systems have been in use around the world and “are engineered for superior durability and vibration attenuation resulting in reduced track maintenance and a minimized impact on the surrounding environment.” The product’s design allows for easy installation, and it is also “virtually maintenance free” for any non-ballasted project. Combining Nortrak‘s and Sonneville‘s capabilities ”allows customers in the industry to access advanced solutions that address the vibration and spatial challenges of tomorrow’s urban landscapes.”
