TIMPS, said TekTracking, “revolutionizes all aspects of track maintenance. It augments the railroad’s current track and roadbed inspection process while providing digitized inspection and maintenance reports to support failure trend analysis analytics. TIMPS accelerates the manual processes and adds to the efficiency, worker safety and accuracy of track maintenance while ensuring all inspections occur per the frequency prescribed by the railroad and FRA Part 213 and Transport Canada regulations.”

“As a technology advocate and railroader, I see immediate benefits in adopting the TIMPS program,” said GIO Rail President Gerald Gionet. “The system will offer real-time visibility into the condition of track and adjacent assets, ensuring that inspections and maintenance activities are up to date.”

“We are thrilled to partner with GIO Rail Holdings and aim to exceed their expectations with our TIMPS digital record-keeping solution,” said TekTracking CEO Gregory Fogarty. “This addition marks an important addition to our Canadian railroad client base.”

TekTracking describes itself as “an Asset Management Technology Provider servicing passenger and freight rail operators throughout North America. Our products and solutions address asset management issues universally faced by railway operators.”
