P&G Manufacturing Company has contracted with OmniTRAX (a Broe Group affiliate) to provide dedicated in-plant switching services at P&G’s Lima, Ohio laundry care factory. The facility becomes OmniTRAX’s third rail-served P&G plant, joining locations in Georgia and West Virginia. The contract went into effect Nov. 1, 2024.
Under the agreement, OmniTRAX will manage daily operational needs through a dedicated switching affiliate, OmniTRAX Lima Industrial (OLI), which will switch daily inbound cars to the plant for placement and return empties on P&G’s outbound track from the facility’s 550-acre campus, located on CSX’s Lima Subdivision. The contract includes facility switching, rail inspection, rail maintenance and repair, and all corresponding operational reporting for P&G’s growing Lima Operation, which is undergoing a $500 million manufacturing expansion project. When fully operational in 2026, the Lima facility will be the only P&G plant in the world to produce Gain and Downey Unstoppable laundry scent beads.
“We are pleased to add P&G’s Lima operations to the OmniTRAX rail network,” said Chief Commercial Officer Ryan Higgins. “P&G Manufacturing continues to set the standard of operational efficiency, and we are honored to once again be entrusted with the responsibility of keeping their domestic supply chains moving.”
