Busher Named RBMN VP Real Estate

RBMN VP Real Estate Jolene Busher.

The Reading & Northern (RBMN) has promoted long-time employee Jolene Busher to Vice President-Real Estate, reporting to Executive VP-Strategic Planning Christina Muller-Levan.

Busher joined RBMN in April 2007 as a part-time car attendant in the Passenger Department. She worked her way up to become a narrator, a saleswoman in the souvenir car, and ultimately manager of the private car fleet for the Muller family. In 2013 she joined the Real Estate Department, where she worked as a file clerk and archivist. Busher parlayed that experience into a full-time position in 2014 and was soon promoted to office manager and then project manager. She was promoted to Assistant Vice President Real Estate in 2019.

“The Reading & Northern has always focused on promotions from within to reward the hard work and dedication of its loyal employees,” the company said. “Jolene is a classic, classy example of homegrown talent. She always ensured that passenger cars were clean, well-stocked, and ready for use on everything from public excursions to private office car specials. Her exemplary leadership as AVP Real Estate, during a time of significant growth for the department and the company, led to this latest promotion to Vice President, another in a long line of career successes. The company will ensure that she has the tools to accompany her exceptional talent to excel in this new position as she did in so many others. The Reading & Northern family wishes Jolene all the best in this new role.”

Busher will continue to oversee publication of the company’s quarterly newsletter, the R&N Magazine. She holds a Bachelor of Humanities in English and a Master of Arts in American Studies from the Pennsylvania State University.
