CSX has been recognized for “excellence in investor relations” within the industrial sector at the IR Impact Awards–U.S.

The IR Impact Awards were established in 1996 by the publication that provides investor relations professionals “with the insights, data and connections they need to navigate the evolving capital markets.” The annual awards “highlight outstanding investor relations practices across the U.S.,” and honorees in the researched categories, including Best in Industrial, are selected through independent voting by hundreds of analysts and investors who evaluate companies on communication, transparency, and engagement, according to CSX, which received the 2025 “Best in Industrial” award on March 26. The other nominees in the Best in Industrial category were Advanced Energy Industries, Deere & Company, Delta Air Lines, GE Aerospace, and Waste Connections. “Congratulations to our CSX Investor Relations team and all our executives who support our investor relations for receiving IR’s Impact Award for all Industrials in 2025,” Joe Hinrichs, CSX President and CEO and Railway Age’s 2025 Railroader of the Year, said in a social media post. “CSX was also a finalist in the ‘Best Overall Investor Relations (Large Cap)’ category, competing with Amazon, Tesla, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Boston Scientific, and Uber for that honor. Special congrats to our Head of Investor Relations and Strategy, Matthew Korn, CFA. ONE CSX in action for all our key stakeholders—including our wonderful investors! Thanks everyone!”

“From rising stars to powerhouse IR teams, we honored the individuals and organizations across the U.S. that have elevated communication, transparency and investor engagement over the past year,” IR Impact announced via social media. “A huge round of applause to this year’s winners and finalists—your impact speaks volumes!”

In related news, Fortune once again placed CSX on its “World’s Most Admired Companies” list in the Transportation sector; the Class I in 2025 was bumped up one spot, from 6th to 5th, globally.
