Canadian Pacific Kansas City’s (CPKC) San Luis Potosí team wins the Class I’s 2025 Terminal of the Year award. Also, CN’s Campbellton, New Brunswick, team reaches more than 5,000 injury-free days; and BNSF reports a record month for dwell at Southern California ports.

CPKC

CPKC recently announced via a LinkedIn post that its San Luis Potosí team has won the Class I’s 2025 Terminal of the Year award.

“Recognized for their operational excellence and unwavering commitment to safety, this terminal is a standout,” CPKC said in the post.

Located in central Mexico—a vital link between the country’s industrial heartland and the north—San Luis Potosí “sets the standard for service, teamwork, and safety,” the Class I added.

To celebrate this prestigious recognition, part of CPKC’s annual CEO Awards for Excellence, San Luis Potosí terminal railroaders received a commemorative coin, and gathered for a special celebratory lunch and a flag-raising ceremony.

CN

CN recently announced via a Linked In post that its Campbellton, New Brunswick, team has reached more than 5,000 injury-free days. That’s more than 13 years of looking out for each other and getting the job done safely, the Class I noted.

“The photo doesn’t show everyone behind this achievement, but the team spirit speaks for itself,” CN said in the post. “Way to lead with care and commitment. Here’s to many more safe days ahead!”

BNSF

BNSF recently announced that June was a record month for dwell at the Southern California ports.

“Thanks to continued investments across our network, prepositioning of trains, and close collaboration and integration with the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, dwell was the lowest it’s been since December 2021,” the Class I wrote in the post.

“This record is also thanks to the launch of the new Alameda Belt Line, created to optimize freight mobility through the 20-mile freight rail expressway known as the Alameda Corridor.

“We’re proud to deliver your freight faster, safer, and more efficiently every day!”
