The annual award honors customers who implement release prevention protocols and corrective action plans and have zero non-accident releases of regulated hazardous materials shipments, according to the Class I railroad. (See the 2024 list of recipients below.)

In a related development, CSX on April 14 announced 62 customers as winners of its 31st Annual Chemical Safety Excellence Award for their “dedication to safely transporting hazardous materials across the company’s rail network in 2024.”
